Mindfulness for Beginners Course

 Our mindfulness course is an eight-week programme to help you develop the tools so that you can begin to enjoy your life more fully.  It is based on the traditional Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction course originally designed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.  The backbone of this course is a gentle introduction of the practice of meditation.  In addition, the course includes:

  • Understanding how stress affects the body and the mind
  • CDs and/or dropbox recordings of the practices we offer in class
  • Short meditation practices, gradutally working up to longer practice
  • Gentle stretching
  • Understanding healthy breathing
  • Learning how the mind affects stress levels, and exercises to begin to work with thoughts
  • Weaving mindfulness into simple daily activities
  • Creating a more spacious approach to living
  • Developing regular daily practice

This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to live with greater awareness and ease.
